Jenni

I have over 20 years of experience teaching all ages & abilities an extensive range of media within the arts. I’ve participated in many art exhibitions, including at the prestigious Ikon Gallery in Birmingham; both as part of a collective, as well as my own solo show.

I have permanent pieces throughout the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham & Birmingham Children’s Hospital. I’ve held workshops at Primrose Hospice, University of Birmingham and even demonstrated on ITV television for an interior design show. For my M.A. Fine Art degree I specialised in sculptural installations, film & photography, but during lockdown I rediscovered my love of painting and textiles. I commission & sell my own work globally & have pieces as far as Germany & the U.S.A.

I like my classes to be fun & inclusive. I tend to demonstrate something e.g./ a skill, technique, media or art principle as a ‘jumping off’ point and then watch my students go off in all sorts of exciting directions. This is when I can offer encouragement & support in the nurturing of their own creativity & artistic style. I like to foster a relaxed, sociable environment where we can chat about all sorts of things.
