My artistic journey began a few years back when I started taking art lessons. Since I have started art, I have become more observant and mindful of my surroundings, such as texture, ripples in water, colour and composition.

This has helped me take better photos as well which I can use as reference for my paintings. I have gained more confidence and am not afraid to try out different techniques and mediums.
Doing art is very meditative and it is your special time to relax and be free of any worries. One of the many accomplishments is to see our students progress and to celebrate their achievements and our classes have rekindled their passion for art.

Alongside this, I’ve worked in education and industry — including as a pictorial painter — which has reinforced my belief in the importance of the fundamental building blocks of drawing and painting.
In the classroom, I enjoy sharing this foundation with students in a way that’s playful and confidence-building. Art should be fun, and I believe we are all both students and teachers, learning from each other along the way.
