At Seasons Art Class Dengie, we believe that creativity lives in everyone — it just needs the right space to grow. Our step-by-step lessons in drawing, painting, pastels and watercolours are designed for beginners and improvers. Relax, build confidence and enjoy creative, social classes in a fun, friendly space where everyone is welcome.

Our Team

Jo – Owner

Seasons Art Class Business owner since January 2025. I have always enjoyed art, initially wanting to make a career within the industry. However, I took a BEd. Hons specialising in art and became a teacher instead. First at a primary school then starting my own swim school, a Pilates teacher and now running art classes. Returning to my first love and enjoying every minute.

John – Tutor

Although art is my second career I began teaching in 1994 after graduating in Art Education BA Hons and PGCE from Cardiff and Brighton Universities.
I have spent the last 20 years as the Head of Art at St Mary’s in Colchester. I originally trained as a ceramicist/sculptor but quickly moved into mixed media and painting. After retiring from full-time teaching I have taught privately for the last 3years
