Our Team

Jacqueline Supra – Branch Manager

I established Seasons Art Class Hawke’s Bay in 2019 because I wanted to bring the joy of art to my community. My mission is to make art accessible to all and to inspire creativity and learning. We believe that by creating an environment of learning and exploration, we can make a positive impact in the lives of our students.

Roz – Branch Tutor

I am fast approaching my eighth decade.

I am the mother of two wonderful adult children (both creatives). My greatest delight, of recent years, is time spent with them and my delightful grandchildren.

The Highlands of Scotland was the home of my youth. By the time I was ten years old, I knew I wanted to go to art school. I succeeded, and gained a diploma in Art and Design, from Edinburgh College of Art (majoring in glass design). I arrived in New Zealand in 1979 and have been here ever since.

My creative experience spans a varied range of disciplines from graphic design to interiors; stage sets to oil painting—I find it all exciting.

Our classes are held at the wonderful Frank Bacon Studio set in the historical Keirunga gardens in Havelock North. We run classes on Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoons. With such beautiful gardens we sometimes take our classes outside and paint en-plein.

Testimonials From Our Students

I always loved to draw, but needed inspiration to start again. Roz, our tutor was amazing as she guided me through my learning and taught me so much! I have returned to the classes three times!

David from Taradale 2024

I wanted to be able to draw my dog but had no idea how to start. I had thought about using watercolour however I was introduced to oil pastels during the curriculum and now it is my favourite.

Anne from Havelock North 2024

I loved every moment of this course! It was so sociable, non-competitive, and heaps of fun. The final lesson, where we all came together for the art exhibition, was just magical. I enjoyed it so much that I came back twice!
